Maker Communications, Inc. (MAKR), is a fabless semiconductor company that develops and markets high-performance programmable communications processors, development tools and application software for use in communications systems equipment. Over the past three years, its revenue has increased dramatically, from (in $million) 0.34 ('96) to 1.8 ('97) to 7.7 ('98). At the current price of 22 and an outstanding share of 17MM, MAKR's market cap is at about $370 MM, still relatively small. The Company's top five customers in 1998 were Ascend, Cisco, Fore, Lucent and Nortel. These customers generated an aggregate of 74% of 1998 revenue. The largest of such customers generated 28% of 1998 revenue and the smallest of such customers generated 5% of 1998 revenue. No other single customer accounted for more than 5% of 1998 revenue. I see this company to be the next BRCM. Does anybody else follow this stock? Bluesky Qin | ||||||||||||
