PR Newswire Takes Aim at “Ticker Spamming” Practices

Hollywood, CA-Emerging Company Report, the nationally syndicated
television program which profiles emerging-growth
companies (http://www.emergingcompany.com), features interviews this
week with PR Newswire and SecurFone America, Inc. (OTC-BB: SFAI).

PR Newswire VP of Sales and Service Dave Armon described the practice of
“ticker spamming”. “A press release will be issued with news about a
particular company, usually a small one”, he said. “Later in the same
press release, there may be erroneous references to much larger
companies that have nothing whatsoever to do with the smaller company,
but those references are placed there in the hope the story will be
indexed to the stock quotes of the larger companies. PR Newswire has
taken an aggressive position to omit such references from releases we
publish. In some cases we actually remove offenders from our
membership.”

Paul Silverman, CEO of SecurFone America, Inc. talked about his
company's recent pursuit of a new strategic objective. The company sold
certain prepaid cellular assets to Teledata World Services, Inc (OTC-BB:
TWOS) for cash and Teledata common stock. SecurFone is now concentrating
on providing Internet-based, e-commerce service to the travel
information services industry with their RFP ExpressTM product, which
can streamline the existing process, reducing the time spent from as
much as six months to as little as 24 hours and providing costs savings
up to 70%.
