I've heard Silicon Investor referred to at times as a type of community, and if SI is a type of community, I wonder what it or we (those who make up the community) are capable of.
I've had this personal dream/fantasy, albeit a bit ecentric, of bringing together a group of people for the sole purpose of forming a charitable foundation made up in part by those I've come to know over the course of my SI membership. Of course my fantasy is contingent upon my winning a sizeable Powerball Jackpot. Chances are it will never happen.
But is it possible for the membership of SI to form a charitable foundation, and if so, what would the requirements be for doing so.
However, the first and foremost question is:
Are We Capable?
Disclaimer: Haven't posed the idea to Go2Net nor have I searched the SI site or any of the Go2Net sites to see whether there is already just such an organization already in place.
BTW, yeah, I'm back.
