carnival corp has announced an offerung to purchase all outstanding shares of encounter .com, operator of singlestogo.com, the offer is for 19.5 million, that would be about $2.45 a share since their is just a liitle over 8million shares outstanding. micky arison carnivals chairman and ceo said that the acquisition of (encr) represents a new market for them for sales, they believe that encr has the best singles site on the net, with a est 1.100.000 subscribers. carnival said they are always in the acquisition mode in the cruise and tour operator industry.
