(OTC Bulletin Board: AIGU - news) an Application Service Provider (ASP) headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, today announced that it has become a Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) provider through its new business alliance with Netrail®. DSL is an uninterrupted Internet connection which provides users direct access and eliminates the time delay of dial-up service. DSL will enable AIM to provide high-speed access to the Internet at competitive prices. ''Our clients need reliable Internet connections that are dependable around the clock,'' stated K. P. Reddy, Chief Technology Officer of AIM Group, Inc. ''By providing DSL service, AIM can create additional synergies between the Internet and business solutions, thus leveraging the limited resources of companies competing in the middle market. Netrail, a Tier-1 Internet backbone provider, views the alliance offering as an added value for its customer base. ''Netrail is proud of the AIM initiative,'' commented Steve Massey, President and Chief Executive Officer of Netrail, Inc. ''We are confident that an ASP with Tier-1 Service, coupled with DSL capabilities, will provide innovative solutions for corporations in the middle market sector.'' Netrail currently has nearly 200 public and private peering relationships with Tier-1, Tier-2, regional and foreign Internet Service Providers (ISPs). Many are private peering sessions with dedicated DS3 (45meg) and 100meg Fast Ethernet connections which avoid the congestion of the public Network Access Points (NAPs). Netrail's public peering takes place at the following NAPs: MAE-East (Legacy and ATM), MAE-West (Legacy and ATM), MAE-Central, Ameritech NAP, PAIX and PacBell NAP. ''Netrail's services are essential to the achievement of an ASP offering that is both timely and cost effective,'' observed Ted Lamb, President of AIM Group, Inc. ''The AIM/NETRAIL Alliance is designed to serve companies in the middle-market sector, with revenues between $50 million and $500 million. The addition of DSL service will allow AIM to deliver traditional business solutions via the Internet and within the budgetary constraints middle market organizations.''
