From the company website “Delecom Communications Ltd. (Delecom) is a telecommunications company that is positioned to take advantage of the current communications evolution that is taking place within Canada and the world. Communication is the key to success in today's' high tech society and business continues to demand faster friendlier efficient products. As a result of the demand an enormous communications, information, entertainment, electronic and retailing industry is emerging. This industry truly doesn't even have a name yet but involves long distance, local access, cellular, wireless paging, information services, entertainment content, and shopping when its all wrapped into one. It's an exciting, evolving, demanding and lucrative business. The current focus of Delecom is to become a nation wide reseller of local and long distance services and to establish our own national private I.P. Network.” The company is currently owned by and uses the symbol PAYP.(NASDAQ BB) I just bought some of this stock with my gamblin' money for a few reasons. 1) I know the technology they are using/will be using very well. 2) They are expecting a symbol/name change to reflect their business better. 3) They are waiting for a new financing deal. 4) They are looking to build a new network to use Voip to by-pass Toll 5) They use centrex to access their network , leaving the maintenance headaches to the Telco's, yet get bulk discount to make profits. 6) It is even easier than ever now for them to make up a private national network or join an existing Voip franchise. 7) They are here in town. 8) Voip over a PRIVATE network ( NOT the internet ) is how most phone calls will be handled as soon as the Telco bean counters let the techies write-off those fancy new TDM DMS switches. Apparently a packet switch costs 1/10 of the cost of traditional central office giving guys like Delecom a chance, and taking the bean counter thing into account , gives them edge. 9) I had some Gamblin' mo' burning a hole in my pocket, so please if you decide to buy in, only use what you can afford to lose-just in case.
