Introduction Compact

I have always wondered why it is that we are all here. Why is there so much human suffering? Why, if God is so merciful and perfect, do babies in Africa know nothing but starvation and then death? I hear the argument that mans free will causes these types of sufferings. I just don't like that though. I would like this thread to offer insites on GOD and why humans are constantly put through so much pain and tragedy.
I for one believe that humans are here for one reason. To learn how to love, how to love God, others, and thyself.
