(Nasdaq: GECM - news) today announced that it has signed an agreement to supply laser printers to one of the leading PC computer peripherals suppliers to China. Initially, taking a special version of GENICOM's microLaser 401 printer, Start plans to develop its offering of laser solutions with GENICOM into a complete enterprise range. The mL401 includes GENICOM's unique Intelliprint controller architecture, which combines excellent printing quality with high speeds. Remote Control Software, standard on the GENICOM laser range, is also integrated into these printers, enabling IT managers to remotely identify and troubleshoot printing problems. The Start branded printers will be launched in China in February 2000, after the Chinese New Year.
