Hancock Fabrics and its subsidiaries are engaged in the retail and wholesale fabric business, selling fabric and related accessories to the home sewing and home decorating market and at wholesale to retailers.

Hancock operates over 450 retail stores in 40 states. The company has been in business since 1957.

Shares are traded on the NYSE under symbol HKF.

Hancock has been acquiring other fabric stores, including Mae's and Northwest Fabrics, and are the number two fabric retailer in the U.S.
