Their Dec. 21 NR caught my eye; EnWave Corporation (CDNX: ENW) announced a 6 month vacuum microwave technology (``VM') project with Henningsen Foods Inc. to further research and develop the process of drying food products. Henningsen Foods is a 110 year old US based Company and is the market leader in the manufacturing, marketing and sales of dehydrated eggs, meat and seafood. Henningsen supplies dehydrated ingredients to Fortune 500 food manufacturers. "EnWave is developing commercial applications of vacuum microwave technology using specially designed VM processing equipment. Applications of the technology enable food manufacturers to produce innovative, high quality consumable products that cannot be produced using current techniques. Such products include, no-fat potato and apple chips along with various dried vegetable and fruit products with high nutritional value, better flavor retention and rehydration characteristics. Many of the processes producing these products have been granted patents, recognizing the innovative nature of the Company's process." | ||||||||||||
