Capita Research Conducts Internet Ad Study for US Interactive . . . Ongoing Tests Planned BLUE BELL, Pa., Dec. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Capita Research Group, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: CEEG - news) today announced that it conducted a market research test of Internet banner ads supplied by U.S. Interactive, Inc., (Nasdaq: USIT - news) a leading Internet professional services firm. The US Interactive test assessed the ability of Capita's Engagement Testing System(TM) to accurately identify from a cluster of banner ads those with high click-through rates. Capita tested 48 respondents by showing them portal sites and then the banner ads. Using its patented electroencephalogram (EEG)-based technology, respondents' brain waves were measured for relative levels of attentiveness as they watched. ``Our system successfully identified the banner ads with the highest real-time click-through rates,' said David B. Hunter, Capita's founder and CEO. He said the company conducted its own, independent follow-up study that validated the results of the first test. Based on the success of these correlation studies, Hunter said that Capita and US Interactive contemplate ongoing testing. ``Our work with Capita enables us to avoid any waste in our online advertising programs. With this type of testing, clients and agencies can launch campaigns into the digital marketplace with a higher level of confidence than ever before,' said Susan Sandler, vice president of Digital Media and Marketing, US Interactive. Hunter said Capita is in the process of establishing a model for broad-based pre-launch testing of Internet ads and web sites. For the purposes of the study, US Interactive supplied Capita with banner ads for travel-related companies that had appeared in portal sites. Half of the ads had high in-market response rates and half had registered low rates. ``The latest test results confirm that Capita's technology will revolutionize advertising market research,' said Craig Gugel, a director of the Advertising Research Foundation and chair of its Interactive Media Research Committee. ``With Capita's Engagement Testing System(tm), web and television advertisers now have a highly effective means to gauge actual consumer reaction prior to launching ever more expensive ad campaigns,' said Gugel, president of Manhattan-Pacific Multimedia, Inc. ``Creative advertising content will no longer be subject to the over- and under-claims that can occur with traditional methods, which rely on verbal responses to audio/visual stimuli. This is the most significant development to date in Capita's evolution,' Hunter said. ``The market for web services is expected to top $80 billion in the next several years. We expect Capita's exclusive, proprietary Engagement Testing System(TM) to become the standard for audience engagement measurement of web sites and Internet advertising.' During the past three years, Capita has developed an exclusive system using electroencephalogram (EEG) technology that allows accurate and objective measurements of whether audiences are actually paying attention to visual and auditory stimuli. Building on research conducted at NASA to measure the alertness of astronauts as they performed their cockpit tasks, Capita owns the licenses, patents, and intellectual property rights covering a new technology that promises to revolutionize a number of industries, including advertising, education, and market research. US Interactive is a leading Internet professional services company that helps world-class organizations think, build and run e-businesses. By combining business strategy, digital marketing and technology skills, US Interactive builds electronic enterprises using its proprietary e-Roadmap development plan, IVL Methodologysm and CAPTURE -- an Extranet relationship management tool.
