Foveon, Inc. claims it has created and is currently selling the best and most awesome digital camera in the high-end, professional photography market.

GOAL

Foveon's goal is to one day dominate the entire digital camera market.
MANAGEMENT TEAM

Foveon was created in 1997 by Dr. Carver Mead, Chairman and Founder of Foveon. In April 1999 Dr. Mead was awarded the Lemelson-MIT Prize ( foveon.net ). Foveon's CEO is a formaer VP of Operations and Finance at Synaptics. Foveon's Vice-chairman previously worked with Kodak as a Corporate VP.

TECHNOLOGY

Foveon's claims to provide superior quality digital images that can be blown up to 40 x 40. Further, its 3-chip prism sytstem will significantly reduce the Moir‚ effect (wavey look when enlarged) created by 1-chip digital cameras.
