The sprawling infrastructure of electric power is now poised to undergo fundamental change - changes as fundamental as those that transformed the telecom infrastructure in the past two decades. Hundreds of billions of dollars per year will be invested in new technologies (and new companies) to move, condition, store, and distribute high-nine electrons. The electric power industry now stands at what Intel Chairman Andrew Grove called an "inflection point." a point-of-departure for radical and very rapid change, the knee in the hockey-stick curve.
This market seems to be transitioning into hypergrowth, now we must pinpoint the leaders of these technologies, and take advantage of the tremendous opportunity that will be presented.
