Snowball.com brings together a blizzard of content for Greeks, geeks, and girls with attitude. The Web site is a hub for a number of infotainment channels, including ChickClick (young women), IGN (video game and science fiction information), InsideGuide (college information), and PowerStudents (high school and college students). Snowball.com offers original content, online services (free e-mail, homepages), and shopping. It also links to some 130 affiliate sites, with which Snowball.com shares advertising and sponsorship revenue. Snowball.com was spun off from publisher Imagine Media as Affiliation Networks in 1999. Chris Anderson, founder of Imagine and UK-based Future Network, owns 41%.

For the fiscal year ended 12/31/99, revenues totaled $6.7 million, up from $3.3 million. Net loss totaled $34.8 million, up from $3.7 million. Results reflect increased advertising revenues, offset by higher personnel and advertising costs.
