Today there was a big write-up on UUNET, a company that provides internet access to businesses primarily. UUNET just got bought by a midwestern telecommunications company and the stock has gone up wildly. At the end of March, UUNET was trading in the mid-20's. It closed yesterday at 58 and something. PSI, America Online, and UUNET are the three Washington area internet providers for the country. Washington D.C. is the internet capital. America Online is doing very well, UUNET just finished taking off. That leaves only PSI who stated that they too are looking into the same kind of acquisition as UUNET. This is going to be a big stock in the next few months.
