This is an OPEN Forum to Discuss Acterna, symbol of NASDAQ:NM - ACTR. Acterna Corporation (Company Profile) Acterna Corporation, formerly Dynatech, is beefing up its test business. In 2000 Dynatech acquired leading network test equipment maker Wavetek Wandel Goltermann and merged it with its communications test equipment subsidiary TTC, to create Acterna. The new company's products monitor data, voice, cable, and other networks. Acterna also sells aircraft cabin video display systems and digital color enhancement systems. The company has discontinued its industrial computing unit, which offered ruggedized computers. Investment firm Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, which backed a management-led buyout in 1998, owns about 90% of the company. ----------- Acterna also is the maker of the TTC brand of Telecom Test Equipment as well as many other types and brands of Telecoummincations Test Equipment.
