In the course of doing research on stocks, one occasionally comes across stocks whose ticker symbols are inherently amusing or that have interesting possibilities in english usage. There are several angles here. An inherently amusing ticker is GZMO, for example. One comedian liked to use band names to create apropos rock & roll double bills such as Ratt with Poison. One could do the same sort of thing with tickers, i.e. LITE & BEAM.
But real masters of ticker usage should go for a full sentence. My first humble offering is for those times when you must talk to a stock broker of the opposite sex. You could try this line:
HI HON, CAN I GET SOME NWCI?
I'm sure the creative minds here at SI can top that one, and this is the thread for it. I'm looking forward to y'all's comic relief.
Cheers, Tuck
