This subject is intended to provide a public record for those economists, politicians and other public figures that the media treat as economists, who have decided to risk their credibility, if any, by a) insisting that the Social Security Trust Fund contains real economic assets which are of economic value in providing future Social Security payouts, or by b) attacking anyone who truthfully claims or admits that the Social Security Trust Fund contains no assets of real economic value.

The purpose of this subject is not to argue the point, since an honest argument can no longer be made by anyone considered competent enough to be publicly quoted, but rather to identify those public figures who have forfeited their right to have any of their public utterances given the benefit of the doubt.

It is intended that nominations be solicited from readers along with an url that demonstrates the nominee's deceptive lie. This header will be edited to include all the names that fit the bill.

The first response will be an example of the desired form of nomination, containing both an url, and a list of names.

LIST -

The following public figures, through their own publicised positions on the SS Trust Fund, have proven themselves unworthy of the benefit of the doubt whenever they take a position on any subject.

Paul Krugman
Alan Blinder
Alicia Munnell
