If this thread works as I hope it will, it'll become a vehicle whereby heavy-heavy news, the kind that'll instantly upbreak or downbreak a stock's share price, gets linked here as quickly as possible. What'll differeniate this site from an ordinary news alert service is that the poster has to make the rational judgment call the news will cause a marked difference in trading price. If you check into this thread often, you just might find something newsworthy early enough to make a difference in gains.

So I'll start with a rather mild, not quite explosive, example. After Friday's 8/24/01 bell, Genuity (GENU) released news it acquired 75 percent ownership of Integra S.A., a premier European provider of managed hosting and eBusiness solutions. This'll create Genuity-Europe. And Genuity-Europe just might prove noteworthy. I'm not sure how it'll impact Monday's trading.
