Europa Cruises Corporation, Now Diamondhead Casino Corporation, Announces Name And Stock Symbol Change PR NEWSWIRE - December 06, 2002 15:34 MADEIRA BEACH, Fla., Dec 6, 2002 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Diamondhead Casino Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: DHCC), f/k/a Europa Cruises Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: KRUZ), announced that its corporate name change from "Europa Cruises Corporation" to "Diamondhead Casino Corporation" became effective with the State of Delaware on November 22, 2002. The Company also reported that its stock symbol will change from "KRUZ" to "DHCC" effective December 9, 2002.
Deborah A. Vitale, President of Diamondhead Casino Corporation, stated: "The name change reflects a change in direction of the Company to Diamondhead, Mississippi, where the future of the Company lies. It also allows the Company to shed itself of a name that caused misconceptions among the investment community, brokerage community, and others. Unfortunately, the OTC BB rules did not permit the Company to select a new stock symbol of its choice."
Diamondhead Casino Corporation, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Casino World, Inc., intends to develop a themed, destination casino resort and hotel at its 404 acre site on the Bay of St. Louis in Diamondhead, Mississippi. There is no outstanding debt and there are no liens on the property. The Company is actively engaged in the process of seeking a joint venture partner and financing for the Diamondhead project.
