This challenge is open to all Silicon Investor Members.

Prize: Bragging rights for 2003. Who will be SI's Guru of the year for Canadian stocks in 2003?

Here's what you need to do:

1) Pick 1 stock that trades on the TSE or VSE and must trade at $1.00 or over at time of entry.

2) Each entrant wll be deemed to have bought $20,000 worth of that stock. (only whole shares, decimal portions will not be used)

3) You can sell your pick on any day, in any month and replace it with another stock. I use closing day prices.

4) I will keep a running tally on each Challenge entrants net worth after the market closes on a regular basis.

5) If you miss getting in at the start of the challenge you can still get in at any time. You will be given $20,000.00 to buy your 1st stock pick.

6) There will be no stop loss rule this year. However when and if your portfolio value goes below $ .01 you are out of the Challenge for the rest of the year.

7) Your pick may be long or short.

8) One buy and one sell in any given month. Using the closing price of the stock on the day you wish to buy or sell it. You can buy or sell your stock-pick on any day of the month.

Let's have some fun with this and hopefully we all benefit with some great picks and ideas from the entrants.

Good Luck

regards,
Al
