Odyssey Healthcare, Inc. is a provider of hospice care in the United States.
As a hospice care provider, the Company's goal is to improve the quality of life of terminally ill patients and their families.
Through a series of acquisitions and the development of new hospice locations, Odyssey has 43 hospice locations to serve patients and their families in 21 states.
During February 2002, the Company's average daily census was 3,669 patients, which represents a 43.6% increase over the average daily census in February 2001 of 2,555 patients.
Odyssey intends to continue growth through internal growth, the development of new hospice locations and a disciplined strategy of acquisitions.
The Company has developed 12 new hospice locations, and is developing four additional locations.
Odyssey has acquired 34 hospice locations since beginning its operations in 1996.
