How can one obtain the cost of commissions with a major brokerage?
On line with TD Waterhouse the fees are plainly listed. I have also an account with UBS Painewebber, but I'm unable to receive the official commission in making trades. I don't know why it's such a secret. My broker claims he will give me a 20% discount, but unless I know the official rate I don't know if I am receiving a discount.
