Deep Well Oil & Gas, Inc. (Pink DWOG): Plunging into heavy oil and gas projects is the current focus of Deep Well Oil & Gas. The company has exploration and development operations on assets in northern Alberta. In 2005 Deep Well Oil & Gas completed the acquisition of fellow explorer Mikwec Energy Canada (now Northern Alberta Oil Ltd.). Deep Well has been exploring in the Alberta heavy oil sands area and planned to drill in the Sawn Lake oil sands in north-central Alberta. However, one of its consortium partners has asked a court to freeze the assets of Deep Well and other consortium members for a Lubicon Lake First Nation project at Sawn Lake.
