SOLANA BEACH, CA--(MARKET WIRE)--Jul 17, 2006 -- Open Energy Corporation (OTC BB:OEGY.OB - News), a renewable energy company focused on solar energy products, launched its global marketing efforts recently at the Pacific Coast Builders Conference (PCBC) to an overwhelmingly positive response from the building industry resulting in the generation of well over 400 qualified sales leads. PCBC, one of the fastest growing tradeshows in North America, was held June 21-23 at San Francisco's Moscone Center where the conference drew over 29,000 building industry professionals.
Open Energy's SolarSave(TM) roofing systems provide a building-integrated solar energy solution that encapsulates photovoltaic cells in Class A rated, UL approved roofing products. The enthusiasm for Open Energy's SolarSave product line was underscored by the fact that CNBC, America's leading cable business news network, chose to feature the company and interview CEO David Saltman from the floor of the Moscone Center, as one of only two companies profiled during the network's reporting from the conference.
Another development from PCBC included the announcement of a master distribution agreement with DRI, one of the premier roofing companies in California. OEC was also invited to participate in the U.S. Department of Energy's Technical Exchange Meeting in which Tom Kimbis of the Department announced the new Solar America Initiative. Solar America has a mission to reduce the cost of solar power to grid parity (utility electricity) by 2015. The company's SolarSave roofing membrane system was also the recipient of a 2006 PCBC Cool Products Award.
