No I am not talking about hard drives here. I am talking about some of your favourite car drives. I just drove back here from LA this morning and it got me thinking THAT IS ONE UGLY DRIVE.
My favourite drive is probably Highway 1 south from the Carmel area down through Big Sur ending up in San Simeon. Heading south not only do you get to see and feel the wonderful and vast views of the Pacific Ocean but there are many places to pull over and have a bite to eat or take a nice hike or take a great photo opportunity or even take a nap. I am in love with Big Sur and aim to do this again next month with a friend. One of my favourite places to stop is near the north end of Big Sur at Nepenthe. You can dine on their patio and take in the sweeping views and meet some noce folks. Another stop I like is the Henry Miller library as well as Deetjans. Okay, I am dreaming again but believe me driving from LA to San Diego is a total BORE.
