Coast Wholesale Appliances Income Fund (the Fund) is an open-ended trust. The Fund was created to acquire and hold a 65% indirect interest in Coast Wholesale Appliances LP (Coast). On January 2, 2009, the Fund completed the acquisition of Morley’s Appliance Centre. Coast is an independent supplier of household appliances to developers and builders of multi-family and single-family housing, and to retail customers. Its business combines contract sales to developer and builder customers with direct sales to retail customers at 15 stores across the four western provinces and one store in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Its product categories include refrigerators, freezers, electric and gas ranges, wall ovens, hood fans, dishwashers, home and commercial laundry washers and dryers, microwaves, gas and electric cook tops, wine coolers, warming ovens and central vacuum systems. In addition, it sells barbecues, free standing air conditioners and garburators.
