Cardero Resource Corp. (CDYCF) long ago, sold a massive iron sands deposit in South America to the Chinese. That sale made them cash rich and as astute resource investors they went looking to leverage that initial score into more. However, the projects they picked to spend money on, among others, had them wander into coal... which has not exactly been kind to them...
