WDM OPPORT |

X, an emerging vendor of metro WDM systems is on the look out for expansion opportunities in adjacent segments. Examples could be WDM-oriented, such as systems for long haul transmission, but also more disruptive by investments in segments making heavy use of optical transport, e.g. video distribution.
Examples of segments that may spur additional WDM traffic, and therefore of interest to find emerging companies within are
- (A) Systems for dynamic load balancing of data traffic between 3G/4G & WLAN radio access,
- (B) Video distribution networking and caching combined with consumer BB access (Applications: CATV, IPTV, VoD in BB access networks), and
- (C) Cloud access - Transport networks specially designed for enterprise IT system accessing virtualized resources in data centers.
(Ref. B below (WLAN offload) i.e. to control data traffic between traditional mobile networks and WLAN; it might exist dynamic traffic load between 3G and 4G as well but the most important is how intelligent packet data networks can operate with mobile networks.)
Could I have the names of emerging companies of interest in this context?
