The something old was a former subprime mortgage company called Novastar Financial that imploded along with the rest of the subprime mortgage industry in 2006-2007-2008.

The something new is the recent creation of Novation Companies that currently consists of Streetlinks Lender Solutions, Advent Financial, Mango Moving and Corvisa.

This company that at one time had a market cap of almost Two Billion dollars, has survived. In addition to surviving the biggest down turn in real estate and mortgage history, it also survived one of the most vicious short attacks in American corporate history.

As in life there are no guarantees, but you're encouraged to do your own due diligence to see how far this company has come off the bottom, and to determine for yourself how far it has to go to get back to the top.
