Tahoe Resources built a world-scale silver mine in Guatemala that reached commercial production in January 2014. Tahoe's primary focus, the Escobal silver mine, boasts an indicated 367.5 million ounces at an average grade of 422 grams per tonne silver. Low production costs, around half the spot silver price, make margins for this project a solid profit proposition. Tahoe employs an almost entirely Guatemalan workforce of 850+ people. The company is focused on near-term growth and moving towards a dividend payment program. | ||||||||||||||
