Walmart Inc. is an American multinational retail corporation that operates a chain of hypermarkets, discount department stores, and grocery stores.
Walmart buy reasons:
1. Walmart is trying every means to evolve with the changing consumer environment to compete with brick-and-mortar rivals and e-Commerce king Amazon. This is most evident from its transition from Wal-Mart Stores to Walmart — in a bid to officially emerge an omni-channel retailer. In this regard, the company has been taking several e- commerce initiatives, including buyouts, alliances, and improved delivery and payment systems.
2. Walmart has been gaining from its sturdy comparable store sales (comps) record, which in turn is driven by its constant expansion efforts and splendid e-commerce performance. These trends drove Walmart in fourth-quarter fiscal 2018, wherein both earnings and revenues improved year over year and the latter beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate. Notably, this marked Walmart’s 14th consecutive quarter of positive U.S. comps growth.
3. Walmart remains committed to enriching consumers’ experiences by providing easy shopping methods and seamless deliveries. In order to facilitate delivery, Walmart recently acquired a delivery startup Parcel, Inc., which is a last-mile delivery service and specializes in same-day delivery for perishable and non-perishable products. Other than this, the company’s Walmart Pickup program enables customers to place orders online and then pick them up at a store for free.
4. Walmart maintains a disciplined capital allocation strategy and remained focused on making investments to develop its business, while using excess cash to enhance shareholder returns through dividend payouts and share buybacks. Walmart paid $6.1 billion in dividends and made share buybacks worth $8.3 billion during fiscal 2018. Concurrently, management announced a 2% hike in its annual cash dividend, taking it to $2.08 per share.
5. Walmart forward dividend yield is 1.89%, higher than the industry (0.94%) and sector (0.64%) forward dividend yields.

How do you think? I checked several websites about Walmart, and do you think it is good to buy now, and the stock price will increase in the future?
