Return to My Opinion, Your Opinion, and ... What If ... ?

Yes, "Sticking One’s Neck Out" probably sounds like an odd title for a Board.

But maybe, in these times that we live in, there is a need to interrogate long held beliefs and convictions.
(Of course, such a title may also arouse one’s curiosity and prompt a visit !! )

I suspect that many of those beliefs and convictions formed part of our education in our early years, at a time when we were youthfully vulnerable and we accepted them without much question.
Now that we are older and possibly more independent in our thinking, we may be a bit more circumspect in what we accept as our core principles and beliefs.

What prompted me to start this Board came about as a result of a message I posted elsewhere on S.I., incorporating this Board’s title.
A day or so later someone living, literally, on the opposite side of the world to myself, stated that she had been searching for "something" and happened to find "it" in what I had written.
I’ve repeated it as the first post on this Board, and I’ve also created the following link should it ever move off the first page.

It got me thinking that maybe others will have empathy with what I post, and could possibly also add to, or expand on it.
Irrespective, I will be writing it as I see it.
Needless to say, there could be others that disagree and have their own viewpoint.
Both approaches will be welcome here, as long as respect for each other is central.
