Observations similar to this one seem to be recurring from time to time: Message 15376493 I am inclined to think that we are in a big secular Bear which started in 2000, when the orthodox top took place. It makes sense - first, the tech heads get killed, and this time - the "old" economy. In fact, I recall making a prediction to a friend some time in 2002-03 that next time around the Dow and the S&P would probably be the ones to take the big hit. In the end, who knows. The main thing is not to be right, but to take the right steps. Remember reading that in the Elliottian circles there are still arguments going on WRT what is the "correct" read of the 1920-40's events.
