With demand for
broadband cable and DSL equipment flagging, Nortel would likely be seeking ways to eliminate that drag on its core business,
which is phone and Internet infrastructure.
DSL deployment around the world is growing near 100%.
BLS,Bell Canada, VZ, SBC all reported big jump in DSL deployment.
Now Europe is warming up, specially Deutsche Telecom.
