Maybe it could have been terrorism, but the more details that come out, the less it looks like it. For those who are interested, here are some of my comments on it, from another thread:

Consider also the emergency communications from the crash airplane. If it were terrorism, the communications increase the chances that something might not sound right to air traffic control or to other pilots listening, especially in the post-9/11 environment. If anyone listening to the actual calls had their suspicions aroused, presumably we will hear about it in due course.
