You WERE called Euro-trash and JLA did imply you are a liar. An appropriate response would have been to prove him wrong, which you refused to do. This is the internet, but some old rules still apply, one of which is that if you makes the claim ("I suppose he believed Bush et al when they said they KNOW Iraq had something to do with 9/11, that they KNOW Saddam had WMDs, that the smoking gun could be in the shape of a mushroom cloud, etc."), the onus IS on YOU to prove your claims. If you do so, JLA is made the fool.
I don't have the time to spend all day bickering with strangers on the internet, most of whom have nothing whatsoever to say except for petty insults.

I'm sure you know enough European history to be aware that once Herr Hitler became German Chancellor, there were no more German elections until the Allied armies marched in at the end of WW2. And I'm sure (in fact, you've made many references to it) that the United States will have a democratic election within 2 months. And plainly, just by reading posts by Americans on this site, freedom of speech and of the press are alive and well in the US.
Frankly, I call this tit for tat. People who live in glass houses, etc. I was once asked to call off JLA and Bill who were after X. X was giving as good as she got. I said OK, but you've got to call off X. She doesn't get to kick them while they can't fight back. The answer, believe it or not, was "No deal". X was supposed to be allowed to continue her insults until she calmed down. I refused and walked away.
Frankly, asking me to stop others unless you are willing to stop your insults is totally unreasonable and unfair and I will not do it unless you agrees to stop your insults. And that does include me.
But feel free to make that comparison all you want. We need the help. AS has done a great feal for us, but you can help out.
