Dialog to hold press conference tomorrow morning Date: 08 Jun 1999 17:18:50 Service: AFX LONDON (AFX) - On-line informationm provider Dialog Corp PLC said it is is to hold a press conference tomorrow morning in London, a move that has raised expectations that a major strategic alliance is to be announced. A Dialog spokesman said a London press conference has been scheduled for 10:30 AM but declined to comment on what will be announced. Dialog shares have been volatile since the company's first quarter results last Friday, 28 May, when chief executive Dan Wagner said a deal was "imminent." Speculation has centred on an internet tie-up with a U.S. portal company such as Excite or Yahoo! but sources familiar with the deal said that is wide of the mark. Dialog shares finished the day 6-1/2 pence higher at 109-1/2. jjbd/mh Regards Jon C
