Fortunately those who know what they are talking about have a bit of a different take on the situation that your ruminations suggest is the case.

The Chairman of the National Assembly Committee of Housing and Education, Hon. Remijio Montejo says concerning the pre-fab houses AHG is building that he is impressed with their insulation, their ability to withstand hurricane force winds and that they are "...the right solution for our housing needs here in Belize." Among other favorable comments, see:

Or try this to see the another picture of the same letter and an easy to read copy of the text: geocities.com

The host for this site is a shareholder who is a movie star and a U.S. Citizen with dual Citizenship in Belize. He owns a house an island down there (I think he even owns the island itself). Personally, since he has been there, lives there part of every year and knows the area, I trust his assessment over yours any day.

Given on the one hand the word of one of the "Raving Bullies," (as I believe you have referred to them), who does not seem to appreciate or understand the difference between "your" and "you're," and on the other hand the statement of an official of the Government of Belize, I'll take the later.

Also the pictures of the houses don't look anything like "trailers," especially since one of them has a second floor. (http://208.196.138.248/ just click on "Photos.") Maybe in the land of midnight gardening they have two storey "trailers," but not where I live, nor as it seems, in Belize.

I know you won't check out the above links. I know you have no interest whatsoever in this company or in learning anything about it. I hope you do check out for yourself some of the information available to you about this company, but I don't think you will. I put the links here so others, especially lurkers, can compare you and your buddies' comments and my comments and judge for themselves who does and who does not know what they are talking about.

Knowing what you are talking about when it comes to this company doesn't seem to be one of your strong points. But, please, don't let that little detail stop you. Feel free to come here and let your little buddies make a fool of you anytime. Looking like fools certainly does not stop your compadres from doing their DD on RB, why should you be any different?

La insentatez más grande es enseñar otras en un tema que es uno no sabe nada alrededor.

It would appear that the Belizean government agrees with your assessment of the desired housing material for the locals...cement

It seems that the plan is to build these housing construction factories where they will build prefab cement houses for deployment there in Belize. So according to this report, this Cuban factory will create 2,000 houses over the next 5 years.

But wait, there's more. Tonights report on Channel 5, had even more good news from Havana. . . . we had initially started negotiation on one plant, one factory, and now the Cuban government has been kind enough to throw in another one. The Cuban Government has committed to a second factory, doubling their capacity, and apparently bringing that total number of houses to 4,000 over the next 5 years.

It was stated elsewhere in the article that Cuba was throwing in a few million dollars of cement along with committing to the second house factory. I associated the two insofar as thinking the context meant they were providing some raw materials for starting operation of the plants. But they may only really be complementary, i.e. for the roads that go to these houses or even for use in their paving of their extension of the Southern Highway. #reply-7758070

oh, and if the Cubans have an agreement with the Belizean government to build 4,000 houses over a course of 5 years, then......how will PABN fit in? As said by John during the shareholders open house in February......The new government has mandated 6,000 new homes in 5 years. #reply-8179596

I know how you so enjoy to sing, found this little number I thought you would enjoy....

NEW AFFORDABLE HOUSING JINGLE

Trailer for sale or rent, rooms to let fifty cents
No phone, no pool, no pets, I ain't got no cigarettes
Ah but two hours of pushin' broom buys and eight by twelve four-bit room
I'm a man of means by no means, king of the road

Third boxcar midnight train, destination Bangor, Maine
Old worn out suit and shoes, I don't pay no union dues
I smoke old stogies I have found, short but not too big around
I'm a man of means by no means, king of the road

I know every engineer on every train
All the children and all of their names
And every handout in every town
And every lock that ain't locked when no-one's around
