They do use Pattern trading for Positional and I sort of know how but it's a set of work that I never put much time into.

Peter trades along those lines. Not exactly the same way, but along those lines to some extent.

As far as the times are concerned, what the Pattern Work from the previous night results from is an analysis of "conditions" that have preceded allowing somewhat more weight to recent action. taking parameters from current action the analyst plugs in such parameters into a query screen on a database. which has been compiled over the course of a decade or more.

So if the pattern "fits" earlier conditions then you can isolate the outcome from follow-on days.

Now, as odd as that may sound, it is no more odd than saying that a Level should provide support because of Prior basing there, or because of Fib, or that a Head-and Shoulder Top should act in such a way and so on.

As far as hitting "times", the analyst looks at prior outcomes and gets a sense of what the patterns flows were and isolates times in a similar fashion.

Not so very different from E-Wave where a pattern is projected and "times" are derived. From what I understand between Chip and Ground Z times also fit the Pitchfork methodology as well.

What they do during the day, however, is a mix of on-going action and pre-determined times. Personally that is not really what I would like to have but I imagine that it could be very useful to someone who might be indecisive and as yet does not have to confidence to pull the trigger.
