Bosco-

Oh yes, I'm all for pinning the blame for the accidental bombing of the Chinese Embassy where it belongs. An international court would do fine. I suggest we start with the administration that has gutted the intelligence agencies in recent years. I'm sure an international court would not be as gullible as the American people.

But why stop with this bombing? You know, killing is killing, whether it is done through accidental bombardment or through deliberate policy. Moreover, the very notion of the nation state is a somewhat artificial one- an accident of history, so to speak. So let's investigate all killings conducted by state powers. Now that would be a truly exciting thought.

BTW, do you- or anyone else on this thread- know the whereabouts of the courageous Chinese radio announcer who for a few precious seconds before he was yanked from the air broadcast what was really happening in Tianamen Square (and its immediate environs) on 4 June 1989?

P.S. I thought your link to the News Hour interview was interesting. I note James Lilly claimed that we knew about Chinese efforts to spy on our nuclear programs "for years". Of course, that chronic liar in the White House only learned about it when the news broke.
