<Boy you have bought the corporate line hook line and sinker.>

Sorry that you feel that way, Kash. Despite all of those legitimate (but overblown) concerns that you have listed, I still consider INTC to be a great long-term investment, and so do many other people.

Maybe you should be asking yourself what AMD's exit strategy is if they can't yield enough K7s (er, I mean Athlons), or if they can't reach 1 GHz within their own schedules.

Re: "It is pretty clear that the low end and high end desktops will become much lower margin. It is not all clear that Intel(or anyone else) has a high potential biz in the Internet Appliance marketplace.
It is certainly not clear that Server market is big enough to save Intel. And it not clear that server farms run by Intel will be a profitable business for them."

When was there a time where there wasn't a crisis point on the horizon? When has future success been assured? This is the nature of the business.

You're right. But there are indications. I wouldn't just pack it in and go home yet.

Maybe. Intel has certainly been there before. But I believe these issues are being addressed. If Intel hits a crisis point, I would expect AMD to be there also, as I don't foresee AMD leading an Industry. Not that this is the scenario I anticipate, or want.
