I have an idea for a new thread:

The basic idea is to have a place where people can talk about stocks that in their humble opinions are oversold at the moment. For example, I picked up CDN (Cadence Design) last week because I know that the company is a market leader, and the reason their stock got pummeled had more to do with some dumb comments made by management than with any fundamental issues with the company. Mind you, I don't see this being some 10x growth possibility or anything. I'm looking for 2x in price over the next year, and then I'm trading this for something else. Still, I can't help but feel that this is a good pick, pretty much free money laying there for anyone to pick up. I felt the same way about NSM at $10 a share. Too bad I didn't buy any.

What I am NOT looking for are charts, or graphs, or deluxe computational interpretations of the phases of the moon. Nor am I looking for "bargains" that are nothing but loser companies. I am looking for informed opinion from real people about market leading company stocks that they truly feel are oversold at the time. I learned about CDN from a friend of mine who works there. I've known about the company for years but I had never bought their stock before. When I saw the price I went ahead and picked up a hundred shares. I might pick up more.

So, are there any threads on SI about oversold stocks? If not, how do I start one? Finally, what should it be called? Maybe just "Oversold Stocks"? How about "Oversold and Undervalued", or maybe "Good bargains on market leaders"? Thoughts? Comments?
