Again, it is my understanding that this is no new news on a name change. RDRAM was first generation and then came Direct RDRAM, BICBW.

PS- This also supports my previous views that RDRAM does not currently scale well into the server market, but it is good to hear INTC is working to overcome these issues.

The sentence beginning "As we enter 1998..." suggests it was written some time ago.

Also, the release date for issue 5 of platform solutions is Jan 29 1998.

We are now onto issue 19.
