To David: Your point can be argued in reverse just as well. When the market goes up, staying in cash is foolish, and a stock such as UNPH is where to be.

Since no one has a clue what the overall market will do tomorrow, next week, next month or next year, trying to "time" the market requires an ability to predict which is rare if not impossible.

Sure your approach will perhaps not risk much loss in absolute money terms, but in opportunity cost terms - an opportunity to make money - the loss can be huge.

To each his own. Or you pays your money and you takes your choice. Or something. :-)

David- Best of luck with your investments. Listen, of course this market will turn down. And then it will turn back up. I am not in this for the short term. I am not 80% invested cause we are in a bull market. I am invested cause over the long haul, I can expect a decent return. I have one question for you: where is YOUR money?

It is not nice to say negative things when the stock is flying David :)) Nobody making money like we are is in the mood to hear it or care. NT is doing very well too.
