john...re: "md needs to crank up the pr machine"

so you think you can run the business better then "mikey"????<vbg>

been speaking of the value of a vocal ceo since february initial selloff....maybe the thread will stop humoring themselves and open their eyes to the fact that msd has the ability to move the stock with his words of the future...not the past, not the current...the price action of the stock for the past months is the market not believing in the future of the pc...if you have to separate yourself "in words only" from your core business....why not!

to believe a ceo can disassociate himself with stock price is a bit bizarre....

Re: ".MD needs to crank up the PR machine...."

They did during the Javit's PC week however, unfortunately everyone was glued to the bond market which was going through interest rate fears. Now that it's over the stock still showing shyness. It almost seems as though there are wand waving band leaders misdirecting a symphonious atmosphere which Dell use to demonstrate or command.

The missing ingredients are perhaps the high paying megabucks fund managers, Dell is no longer a Wall St darling. She wears the same dresses and has the same smile and even the same willingness to please but the clunk's are looking elsewhere for their quick pleasures.
