>>What "jump-to-message-number box"? I don't see one...And do you have to know the number of the message you want?

On the right margin opposite the time stamp of this message, it says "Reply # 107 of 107". The first 107 should be in a box. If you highlight that 107 and replace it with, say 50, you'll jump to the 50th message on this thread. I've checked it in IE and NN, and it works in both. It works on the, uh, heritage SI site as well. <g>

I'd search this thread for the word "search"
to find the answer to my question...but I
see that you cannot do a search on the current
thread.

Why cant you do a thread search?

Not too impressed with the new website, noisy
to look at, will check out the customization
tricks, I'd love to get rid of all the distracting
stuff. Thread: Go back to the old site and see for
yourself, just easier to look at I think.

A feature I'd like to see would be hot keys--
N to jump to next post. Is there a way to set
that up--if not here on SI, maybe with the browser
itself?

Just found something else I miss--having a box around
the post was a nice way to keep your eyes from wandering
away from the text. Right now I've got both sites
each in seperate browser--and the old site is a
lot easier to read--especially if flying from one
post to the next, you don't lose your spot so easily,
my eyes keep wandering off into whitespace on this
site. Miss the message picture frame A LOT.

Guess I'm spoiled using Browsemaster. How about a "get all" button. If a bookmarked subject has 100 new messages since I last read it, I want to get them all. Clicking every 10 posts gets old fast.
