No, jbe, the "soccer mom" is not a made-up media myth, unfortunately. I have friends from college who are "soccer moms" and their minds are slowly disintegrating. I have friends whose wives are "soccer moms" and they are so lonely--ironically, because most of them thought that this was what they wanted.
