<Do you really believe that Intel should compete only a little bit so that AMD can become a Welfare Queen? >

Believe it or not, that is exactly what many here have implied repeatedly. They get mad that Intel will not allow AMD to maintain their suicidal 25% price gap. They believe Intel should instead just be willing to give up some market share. Unbelievable but true.

If AMD would have been content to grow with the market instead of trying to take Intel head on in pricing they would have been much better off. Bottom line....they were too greedy and too blatant with their attempt to gain market share via cut-throat pricing.

This is all Sanders doing. Personally, I love Jerry.

AMD a Welfare Queen !!!

I love it !

That's exactly what they are !

Every quarter they reduce their losses by a "tax adjustment", effectively allowing you, me and Intel to subsidize AMD's losses.

re: " You think wrong and have nothing to support your thoughts. Indeed, there are many bits of information that support the position that Intel makes profits on all Celeron processors"

Really?!! I would like to see that "many bits of information" that says that the Celeron is a money making machine for intc. You claim this after there have been several analysts' downgrades of intc and reductions in there earnings estimates for the balance of this year. Interesting!!!

BTW copies of the intc newsletter don't count.
