One thing that bothers me about Dell is its not making acquisitions into other arena's to cushion futureshock from PC sales slumps. The recent slump should have been a wake-up call to MD. What arena's you may ask? How about wireless? Those who snooze here will lose.Or maybe broadband? I love this company but wish it was more aggressive into other arena's. Thoughts?? DB

If 60% of the public owns a PC, what % has a Pentium II or better? I don't know the answer to that question. Lets say for arguments sake that 30% of the population has a Pentium II or better. That means that the other 30% will want to upgrade when they get Broadband.

I'm of the opinion that the infrastructure (broadband) will precede the applications. It's like the movie Field of Dreams. "If you build it they will come"?
